Japan Trade Center (JTC) Continued to provide information on general trade legisla? tion, bills, and laws and the Administration of such laws. Information secured from congressional and administration sources mainly by weekly telephon calls to offices of Senators Daniel lnouye and Spark Matsunaga of Hawaii and Congressmen Norman Mineta and Robert i-[atsui of California, Japan Section of Department of State, and Japan specialists in the Office of U.S. Trade Representative. Staff members of House Ways anc Means Committee, House Foreign Affairs Committee, Senate Finance Committee, and Senate Foreign Relations Committee were also contacted. Takata Corporation (TC) Met with Michael Finkelstein, Associate Administrator for Research and Development of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration of the Department of Transportation, on April 12 and July 25, 1984. IThe term ?foreign principal? includes, in addition to those de?ned in section 10:) of the Act, an individual or organization any of whose activities are directly or indirectly supervised, directed. controlled. ?nanced, or subsidized in whole or in major part by a foreign government, foreign political party, foreign organization or foreign individual. (See Rule lthaX9D. A registrant who rep resents more than one foreign principal is required to list in the statements he ?les underthe Act only those foreign principals for whom he is not entitled to claim exemption nde 3 of the Act.
