Energy eicient design in building emloys strategies in terms o design/ construction and oeration o buildings/ that minimi2es the use o energy..he energy challenges aced by the college camus are over#helming. Everything #e do on camus re3uires energy/ and that energy has to come rom some#here. But #e have a great deal o inluence over ho# much energy #e use to satisy our needs and #here that energy comes rom hese inluences are motivating institutions to re,evaluate their energy demands. Surrisingly/ these contrasting challenges can be met #ith a #ell,designed solution that harnesses the o#er o integrated technology and on,going energy eiciency services. he result is an eicient camus that becomes an otimal learning environment1 saves money1 and rotects eole/ roerty/ and our lanet.Similarly sustainably designed and less energy usage libraries on the camus #ould be built to last/ to le0ibly resond to changing unctional demands/ to rovide an environment that is insiring and sae/ as #ell as to erorm eiciently/ roviding great inancial value to the community that suorted its creation. As #e kno# the sycho,hysiological eects that buildings have uon us/ the imortance o the health o libraries becomes even more imortant. $umerous studies have sho#n that strategies #e use to reduce a building4s environmental imact have secondary beneits or imroved occuant health and energy eiciency.Another #orth noting act is that over the ast several years/ libraries have become one o themost common categories o ne# construction and embracing sustainable design and energy eicient solutions.. *ibraries as non,commercial and service oriented ublic buildings are   articularly suited to give e0amles to illustrate the idea o sustainability/ saving energy to distribute and to disseminate this idea to the eole. AIM: o   reduce the energy consumtion and achieving energy eiciency in a camus   and achieve the desired comort #ith the least inut o conventional energy. OBJECTIVES:- In order to achieve the aim ollo#ing objectives are ollo#ed or carried out!,  5nderstanding energy eiciency and its various techni3ues.  etermining the %riteria or selecting dierent energy eicient design eatures #hich can be alied to the camus building and its surrounding.  Studying dierent buildings o the same tye in #hich the techni3ues are used so that the same can be alied in the tye chosen.  %omaring and analysing the results ater the alication o energy eicient design solutions. SCOPE :- he study includes the identiication o all ossible energy eicient design eatures6techni3ues used in an institutional camus and ho# these techni3ues are ultimately heling to save energy .LIMITATIONS:- he study about the energy eicient design techni3ues has been limited to only one building tye #ithin a camus i.e. the *ibrary building.
