Factory built modules combinations Modules connected at factory (structure + electrical), up to 3 modules. Customer is required to connect power source cables to only one module: If 2 modules connect to module No.1 If 3 modules connect to module No.2 Power wiring and control wiring module to module are factory assembled. Common water pipe is also available as an accessory upon request. Factory preassembled combinations available are as follows: Modules combination (14) 3modules 2modules 1module No No.1 No No.1 No.2 No Launching of new RCMEAH1 series. PAGE 7 / Modules combination (at site) 4 basic modules are available: 40HP, 50HP, 60HP and 70HP. By combining these 4 modules higher capacity units can be achieved. In such units one module will be set as Master and the rest as Slaves. All the modules will operate as one single system. Possible modules combinations are 40HP with 50HP, 50HP with 60HP, and 60HP with 70HP. Note: other combinations will be not allowed due to possible poor water distribution. The maximum number of modules to be combined is 8, without any additional controller. To minimize power cable sizing it is advisable to feed up to a maximum of 3 modules from 1 power source cable as illustrated below: 2.3. Operating modes There are 2 available modules running modes (standard, no option) by unit setting: Standard mode: all compressors running at the same load. High efficiency: compressors start/stop smart control. Modules combination system offers several advantages: Optimisation of the efficiency at any load by stopping/starting up to 8 continuous capacity control compressors through a smart unit control (if High efficiency mode is selected). Customer can customize the unit based on energy saving, price or installation space. Example of 300kW modules combination: Capacity ESEER Length Price 3 x 40HP 300 kw 5,12 6m higher 2 x 60HP 300 kw 4,57 4m lower Both combinations have the same capacity. If customer is interested in high efficiency he will choose 3 x 40HP. If customer is interested in small unit or low price he will choose 2 x 60HP. Flexibility in running mode: customer can put priority on efficiency or on stable water outlet temperature by unit setting. Main advantages against R407C: This refrigerant has no fractionation (change in composition of a refrigerant mixture by e.g. evaporation of the more volatile component(s) or condensation of the less volatile component(s)). Lower Global Warming Power (GWP): R410A R407C R134a , infinite capacity control compressor The twin screw compressor ASFZ series has a continuous capacity control from 25% to 100% load. Thanks to the 25% to 100% modulation the compressor load is always matching the requested load, and thus accurate chilled water temperature is achieved without the need of expensive inverters. Screws are optimized for R134a refrigerant. High reliability because of few moving parts. Cyclonic oil separator to reduce oil carry over and increase effciency. Additional port for the oil is included. PAGE 12 / Double electronic expansion valve The electronic expansion valve provides reduced power consumption compared to the classical system of thermostatic expansion valve types, and combined with sophisticated control it offers an accurate adjustment of the refrigerant circuit at any condition. The double expansion valves system ensures equal distribution to both inlets of the plate heat exchanger. Note: EEV valves are normally optional extra for competitors EC Fan motors All fan motors are inverter type, getting less power consumption and higher efficiency of the unit. Thanks to the capability of regulating the rotation speed (rpm) by changing the frequency, the condensing temperature can be kept at an optimized level at any condition. Made of light but impact resistant material LCD touch panel Each module is equipped with a userfriendly colour touch panel which allows: a) Visualize the unit parameters like unit status, cycle temperatures and pressures, compressor running hours, alarm codes and descriptions, etc b) Set the unit configuration: water outlet temperature, high efficiency mode, etc for adapting the unit to each specific application and thus optimizing the performance of the unit. PAGE 13 / Ushaped Air Heat Exchangers The new chiller takes advantage of latest technology applied in the new Modular Set Free by using the same Air heat exchangers. U shaped style brings more than 20% more exchange surface compared to current AG2.2 series. 7mm diameter copper pipes for higher heat transfer ratio. Additional subcooling circuit to increase the seasonal efficiency by keeping proper subcool even at low load conditions Flexible space installation Modular concept provides greater flexibility at the time of installation. The following new options are available: Pump kit Assembled at factory (integrated in the unit). 2 possibilities: single pump double pump 2 different pump sizes. Filter, safety valve, air purge are included. Shut off valves before and after the pumps for easier maintenance/servicing. Additional valve for regulating the water flow. Heavy Corrosion Air Heat Exchangers Special anticorrosion treatment on the copper/aluminium air heat exchangers for 1440 hours endurance in specific high corrosion environments.
